Caring for your Jewellry

As we all know that silver in its natural form tarnishes. In order to bring longitivity to our fine jewellery we give our pieces a platinum/rhodium plating.

But in order to extend the life of the plating here are a few tips and tricks in order to care for your jewellery 

1. Avoid Harsh Liquids - Avoid harsh liquids likes soaps, oils, detergents, sanitisers etc (anything chemical based), to come into contact with your jewellery on regular basis. As this can cause wearing off of the plating to expose the silver.

2. Wipe with a soft cloth - Incase your jewellery has come in contact with any harsh liquid or you wear your jewellery constantly. Giving it a good wipe with a microfibre cloth (you can use the soft cloths that usually come this glasses/sunglasses) will help to get rid of any build-up and bring back the shine of your jewellery.

3. Store in zip lock pouch - for added protect, it is best to store your jewellery in a zip-lock pouch. Over time, your jewelry comes in contact with moisture and air which causes it to eventually tarnish. Put it in a ziplock bag and squeeze out all the air before sealing. 

4. While washing, bathing etc. it is always best to remove your jewellery and put them back on after the task.
